About this policy
This policy covers OpenOrange’s website, contact channels, plugin and command-line client. For privacy questions, contact contact@openorange.ai. Your workspace operator is responsible for its accounts, settings and stored information; independently operated workspaces may have their own privacy policies.
Information and its use
When you contact us or join the waitlist, we receive your contact details and the information you choose to submit. We use these to answer you, provide requested updates and improve our service. Website services process technical information such as IP address, browser details and visits to deliver the site, measure usage and prevent abuse.
When you connect the plugin, your selected workspace processes the messages, files and actions you request, together with account, access, usage and billing records needed to provide the service. Installing the plugin alone does not connect your account or grant access.
Encryption and access
OpenOrange supports encryption of stored workspace content. Where customer-held-key encryption is enabled for a request archive, we do not receive its private decryption key and cannot decrypt that archive without it.
This protection applies to that archive, not all workspace data or live processing. Authorized services still process the content needed to perform your requests. Access and available protections depend on your workspace’s settings and hosting arrangement.
Who handles information
Relevant information is handled by authorized workspace users, administrators and service personnel, and providers supporting hosting, analytics, communications, billing or your requested work. Selected AI services and connected tools receive the information needed for their tasks. If you use ChatGPT or another assistant, the content you share and results returned to it are also subject to that service’s privacy terms.
Providers may process information outside your country and apply their own retention terms. Contact us or your workspace operator for the providers and arrangements applicable to your service.
Retention
Contact and waitlist correspondence stays until our team removes it, including following a verified deletion request; it has no automatic deletion period. Website, delivery and diagnostic records follow the relevant provider’s retention settings.
Workspace conversations and files follow its storage and deletion settings. Where available, request-content settings offer 7, 30 or 90 days, or an option not to retain content. Clearing is not immediate, and usage, billing and audit records can remain separately. Ask your workspace operator for active settings and deletion options.
Saved access remains until removed, revoked or expired. Removing the plugin alone does not revoke access or delete workspace data. Copies held by your assistant, connected providers or backups have their own retention periods.
Your choices
You choose which workspace to connect and what tasks and files to share. Sign out or revoke access to disconnect. Keep passwords and other access secrets in the sign-in or settings pages, not chat prompts or contact forms.
Email contact@openorange.ai to stop updates or request access, correction or deletion of information we hold. We may verify your request, direct it to your workspace operator, or retain information where required by law. Applicable rights depend on your location and circumstances.
Changes
We publish updates here with a revised effective date. Contact contact@openorange.ai with questions.
